Managing Contacts in Brokeredge

Overview:

Brokeredge automatically adds contacts from your submission platform connection. However, manually adding leads and business partners is essential to keep your CRM effective and ensure no relationship slips through the cracks.

Classifying Your Contacts:

Brokeredge offers multiple classification options, including:

  • Borrower Stages
  • Partner Types
  • Lead Source
  • Referral Source
  • Custom Stages
  • Tags
  • Campaigns

Default Borrower Stages:

  • Prospect: Contacts not currently looking for a mortgage and without an active mortgage or application.
  • Active Lead: Contacts actively looking for a mortgage. (If Active Contact workflows are enabled, these contacts are added to the marketing funnel.)
  • Client: Contacts with an application in progress or funded; these are automatically moved to Client status and removed from Active workflows.
  • Business Partner Only: Contacts (like realtors) who are business partners and should not be marketed for personal mortgages.
  • Do Not Contact: Contacts removed from all automated email workflows.

Note on Duplicates:

Brokeredge checks for duplicate contacts by matching first name, last name, and email. If a duplicate is detected, the existing contact is updated. However, changes like an email update or typo may create a duplicate, which you can merge later.
